Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited, within the premises of Institution.

Any individual or collective act or practice or ragging constitute gross in discipline and shall be dealt with under this ordinance. Ragging for the purpose of these ordinance, ordinarily means any act conduct or practice by which dominant power or status of senior students is brought to bear on students freshly enrolled or students who are in any way considered junior or inferior by other students and includes individual or collective acts or practices which:

  1. Involve physical assault or threat or use of physical force.
  2. Violate the status, dignity and honour of woman/ man students
  3. Violate the status, dignity and honour of students belonging to the Schedule castes and Schedule tribes.
  4. Expose students to ridicule on contempt and affect their self-esteem.
  5. Entail verbal abuse and aggression indecent gesture and obscene behavior
  6. Disfiguring of school/classroom wall, furniture etc. and destruction of school, hostel and hospital property.

 “Anti-Ragging Committee” is formed and is headed by the head of institution, consisting of members from different disciplines or Departments as follows.

  1. Representative of Civil Administration 
  2. Representative of Police Administration
  3. Representative of Local Media 
  4. NGO's involved in Youth Activities 
  5. Representative of Parents for each year.
  6. Representative of Students for each year
  7. Representative from Faculty member
  8. Representative from non-teaching staff

Besides these, Anti-ragging Squad comprised of representative from teaching faculty and students from each year is established.
